Exploring the Houses, Part One: The Fire Houses

The Roman astrologer once referred to the houses as temples in which we meet the gods who will dominate a particular sphere of our lives. This seminar, the first of a series of four on the houses, will explore the fire houses the first, fifth and ninth, associated with the fiery trigon of the zodiac in mythic, psychological, and astrological terms, and will examine not only the meaning of each house but also the qualities of any planet placed in that house, the sign on its cusp, and its relevance in terms of the overall patterns of the individuals life.

We will also explore the houses as a cycle and in terms of their relationship to what we understand as fate, and how the houses differ from the signs and their planetary rulers in terms of levels of expression. Students are welcome to bring their own charts on an OHP transparency.
