Brothers of Pluto
Karen Hamaker-Zondag

This seminar will explore some fascinating research on Cheiron, Pholus and Nessus, newly discovered bodies in our solar system that stem from the Kuiper Belt. We now know that Pluto also originated from this part of our solar system.  These new bodies are a new astronomical phenomenon, named the Centaurs.

In this workshop we will analyze the meaning of the first three of the Centaurs through a combination of their role in mythology,  their astronomical behaviour,  experience with transits of these bodies and analysing charts of people with prominent Centaurs.  Not only are these Centaurs deepening our understanding of Pluto, my research shows that they are real brothers of Pluto. And they are important bridges between the known world of daily life and the realm of the outer planets, and the realm of our ancestors. A real revelation!
