Melanie Reinhart was born in Zimbabwe, where the night skies inspired her vocation of astrology at an early age. She holds a B.A. Degree in English, Music and Drama, and has been a professional astrologer since 1975. She is a prize winning Diploma holder of the Faculty of Astrological Studies, as well as having trained in various Humanistic therapies; her background also includes experience with many spiritual traditions and teachers.

She is the author of Chiron and the Healing Journey (Arkana, 1989), Incarnation: The Four Angles and the Moon’s Nodes (CPA Press, 1997) and Saturn, Chiron and the Centaurs (CPA Press, 2001) as well as numerous journal articles. She also contributed to the anthologies, Modern South Africa in Search of a Soul (Sigo Press, Boston 1990), Wilderness and the Human Spirit (Cameron Design, Durban, 1996), and The Mars Quartet: Four Seminars on the Astrology of the Red Planet (CPA Press, 2001).

Melanie lives in rural Bedfordshire, and maintains a busy private practice based in London and Zurich: she also works ‘at distance’ with clients abroad. She has travelled widely, offering workshops and readings, as well as teaching for various renowned astrology schools in the UK and elsewhere. These include the CPA, Faculty of Astrological Studies, the London School of Astrology and Astro*Synthesis. She loves to study archaeo-astronomy, and has a special interest in meditative experiential work to ground astrology in a living energetic reality.
